Pork Chop Casserole

 

6 pork chops

1 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 c. water

2 Tbs. cooking oil

4 med. apples, peeled and sliced

4 med. sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced

1 sm. Onion, chopped

 

Brown chops in oil in frying pan.  Place in large casserole; sprinkle with half the salt and pepper.  Layer apples and potatoes on top of chops and sprinkle with rest of salt and pepper.  Sauté onions in frying pan where chops were browned.  Add water and Worcestershire sauce.  Mix and pout over chops, apples, and potatoes.  Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 ½ hours.

     

No-Bake Brownies

 

1 c. chopped pecans

2 (10oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate

1 (14oz.) can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk

2 to 1 ½ c. vanilla wafer crumbs

   (48-60 wafers)

 

In buttered 9" square pan, sprinkle ¼ cup pecans.  In a saucepan over a low heat, melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk.  Cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in crumbs and ½ cup pecans.  Spread evenly into prepared pan.  Top with remaining pecans.  Chill 4 hours or until firm.  Cut into squares and store loosely covered at room temperature.  Yields: 24 brownies.
